Reid and Farah on a lookout tower in Tales of Eternia Remastered

Tales of Eternia Remastered is out now on consoles and PC. Bandai Namco shipped it on Switch 2, Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and PC at once, and it is $29.99 on the Switch 2 eShop.

When it unlocked

Consoles flipped at midnight local time on October 16, so US West Coast players were in at 12:00am PT. The PC build followed Central European time instead, which put Steam players in the US online early at 3:00pm PT on October 15.

What’s in the remaster

Eternia follows Reid, Farah and the rest of the party as they try to stop two worlds, Inferia and Celestia, from destroying each other. TOSE developed the remaster. It keeps the fast 2D real-time battles and adds cleaner visuals and quality-of-life features for modern players.

Editions and where to buy

The standard edition is the base game. There is also a digital-only Deluxe Edition with a growth-item set, a pack of battle themes from older Tales games, and a digital artbook and soundtrack. Switch 2 players get a dedicated version rather than only the Switch release. It is not on GOG, so PC players will find it on Steam.

If you have been waiting for Eternia to return on current hardware, this is a good weekend to start.
