Who we are
GameClimate (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Our website address is https://www.gameclimate.com/. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Like most websites, our servers receive information that browsers typically send, such as browser type, language preference, referring site, IP address, and the date and time of each request. We use this to run, secure and improve the site. We do not use IP addresses to identify visitors.
If you contact us or submit a form or comment, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name and email address, and use it only to respond or to provide the feature you used.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
How we share information
We do not rent or sell your personal information for money. We share information only with service providers who help us run the site and have agreed to protect it, with Google for analytics as described below, or when required by law or to protect our rights, our visitors or the public.

Cookie consent
In the EEA, UK and Switzerland we ask for consent before any non-essential cookies, analytics or ads load. Visitors there, and visitors whose location we can’t determine, see a consent message and can choose Accept or Reject.
Visitors elsewhere, including the US, have analytics on by default and can opt out anytime with the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer. Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal are treated as opting out of any sale or sharing of personal information.
We use Google Consent Mode v2. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, until you Accept, consent defaults are denied for ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and analytics_storage. Accept updates analytics_storage to granted and loads Google Analytics. The advertising signals stay denied. Reject keeps them denied, and Google Analytics does not load.
Essential consent cookie
Cookie gc_cookie_consent_v2 remembers your choice. It lasts about 270 days (Path=/; SameSite=Lax; Secure). It is set when you make a choice, or on your first visit outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland unless your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.
Non-essential cookies
Google Analytics 4 (analytics). Measurement ID: G-8Y898DS27M. Loaded from https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js. Google may set analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. Advertising signals are always denied, since we don’t show ads. You can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics on all websites.
Ads. We don’t currently show ads. We may show ads in the future and will update this policy before we do.

Some content may be served by third parties. We don’t control their tracking technologies beyond the consent controls described here.
Your US state privacy rights
Residents of California and some other US states have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request that we delete it, and to request that we correct it. We don’t sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals from your browser. To make a request, contact us using the details on this page. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Your data collection choices
Your Privacy Choices. You can change your cookie choice anytime with the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer.
Browser controls. You can set your browser to refuse all or some cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
Interest-based advertising opt-outs. You can opt out of targeted ads from members of the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org and the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info. You can also adjust Google Ads Settings.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles may include embedded content such as videos, images or posts. Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies, add its own tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content, especially if you have an account there and are logged in.
Children under 13
Our website is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe we might have such information, contact us at tips@gameclimate.com.
