Bigby Wolf over the Fabletown skyline in The Wolf Among Us Remastered key art

The Wolf Among Us Remastered won’t hit Nintendo Switch this month after all. Telltale posted on X today that the Switch version needs more time and will launch later, while the October 29 release on PS5, Xbox and PC is still on.

Telltale didn’t give a new Switch date. The studio says this is the series’ first time on a Nintendo platform and it wants to take extra time to make sure the version is right, with an updated release date to follow.

What it means if you were waiting on Switch

If you planned to play Bigby Wolf’s return on a Nintendo console, there’s nothing to do yet but wait for Telltale’s next update. Everyone else still gets the remaster on October 29, with its rebuilt characters, relit scenes and the new black-and-white Noir Mode we covered earlier this month. On PC it’s coming to Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The game is rated M, and it’s still the same Fabletown murder mystery from 2013, just with a fresh coat of paint. Hopefully the Switch wait turns out short, and Fabletown on the go ends up worth it.
