Funcom is bringing Conan Exiles Enhanced to PS5 in early 2027, and anyone who already owns Conan Exiles on PlayStation will get it for free. The studio announced the upgrade on the PlayStation Blog on Tuesday, alongside a PS5 release for its co-op sky survival game Aloft, which lands in the same window.
Your Conan purchases come with you
The upgrade works both ways. Funcom says both the PS4 and PS5 versions of Conan Exiles will be on sale, and buying either one gets you the other at no extra cost. Existing players don’t need to rebuy anything they’ve collected either: purchased Bazaar items and DLC carry over from PS4 to PS5.
The one exception is Isle of Siptah. The expansion stays a separate purchase, so if you don’t already own it, you’ll still need to buy it to play there.
What Enhanced changes
Enhanced is a visual and usability overhaul of the existing game. Funcom lists improved environments, characters, lighting and effects, a redesigned interface, and performance and quality-of-life improvements. Moving between the Exiled Lands and Isle of Siptah is also meant to be a more seamless experience.
Console players will also get the new Legacy of the Giant-Kings story arc from day one of the Enhanced launch. Funcom describes it as a major story arc built around the ancient Giant-Kings and their forgotten legacy, with new challenges, discoveries and rewards along the way.
Aloft makes its console debut
The second announcement is Aloft, a cozy co-op sandbox survival game from developer Astrolabe, with Funcom publishing. You turn floating islands into skyships, build a home in the clouds, and explore a colorful open world solo or with friends. Along the way you cure fungal corruption, look after animals, ride out hurricanes and work to restore the sky ecosystem.
Aloft has spent its Early Access period on PC, where Astrolabe has shipped five major content updates adding new wildlife, puzzles, combat improvements, glider customization and more exploration. The PS5 version is the full package: every Early Access update plus the 1.0 release. Astrolabe says the game has been in development for six years, with a team that started as a small group of friends.
No dates or prices yet
Neither game has a release date or a price beyond the early 2027 window. Funcom says it will share dates and more details later, and both games can be wishlisted on PlayStation Store now.
If you already own Conan Exiles on PS4, you can stay put: the PS5 Enhanced version is free when it arrives, and your purchases come with you.
