The PS5 Prism Collection is PlayStation’s new line of transparent DualSense controllers and PS5 console covers, and pre-orders open November 10 at 7am PT. Controllers are $84.99 and covers are $74.99 in the US, in three colors: Flare Orange, Emerald Green, and Graphite Gray. Everything launches starting February 4, 2027.
What’s different about them
These are fully see-through shells with a glossy finish, and the clear plastic runs across the back of the controller too, so you can see the internals. The middle section gets a metallic finish to tie it together. PlayStation’s designers say the orange turns slightly rosy where the transparent layers overlap, the green is a deep hunter green, and the gray leans cool.
It’s the late-90s clear controller look, and PlayStation says fans have been asking for it to come back.
Prices and dates
| Item | US price | Where to buy |
|---|---|---|
| Prism DualSense controller | $84.99 | PlayStation Direct and participating retailers |
| Prism PS5 console cover | $74.99 | PlayStation Direct only in the US |
The controllers are sold globally. The covers are sold only direct from PlayStation in the US, UK, and nine European countries, and elsewhere they’ll show up at select retailers in limited quantities. PlayStation says launch dates can vary by region.
PlayStation hasn’t said which PS5 models the covers fit, so check the listing on November 10 before you order one.
How to pre-order
US pre-orders go live on direct.playstation.com on Tuesday, November 10 at 7:00am PT (10:00am ET). Participating retailers start the same day. PlayStation Direct is the only US store selling the covers, so it’s the one place to order a matching controller and cover together.
If you’re shopping for PS5 audio too, the PlayStation Pulse headset opened its own pre-orders on October 29.
