Three BeamNG.drive vehicles race on a desert road under a wireframe overlay

BeamNG.drive PS5 Early Access is live today, and the soft-body driving sandbox that spent years on PC finally lands on console for $24.99. BeamNG GmbH set the date as October 19, and the PlayStation Store listing confirms it is shipping as Early Access while the team keeps building.

Soft-body chaos, console controls

If you know BeamNG from PC, the pitch is the same. Every part of a vehicle is simulated in real time, so crashes crumple, bend and fold instead of playing a canned damage clip. The PlayStation Store listing names Free Roam, Scenarios and Time Trials as game modes, dozens of customizable vehicles and 12+ open-world environments, plus DualSense vibration and trigger effects.

You can play offline with up to four players. The store also marks the build as PS5 Pro Enhanced for anyone on a Pro.

What is missing at launch

BeamNG is clear about the gaps. VR and mods are not supported on PS5 at launch. The studio says it wants feature parity across platforms over time, but it has not promised a date for either. On PC, Version 0.40 is expected around the same window.

Where to buy

BeamNG.drive is $24.99 on the PlayStation Store for PS5. Early Access means you are buying into a game that is still moving, with updates planned as development continues. On PC, BeamNG.drive is sold on Steam. More console news lives on our PlayStation hub.

If you have been waiting to fold a police cruiser into a semi without touching a keyboard, today is the day the keys land on PS5.
