Enshrouded 1.0 launches today, October 15, on PC and PS5, and it’s the first time the co-op survival RPG has been on a console. Keen Games put it into early access on Steam back in January 2024, and more than 5 million players have tried it since. PS5 Pro owners get enhanced support on day one.
What 1.0 means if you’ve already played
You’re still Flameborn, the last of a dying race, pushing back the corrupting fog called the Shroud across a huge voxel world named Embervale. The pillars haven’t changed: punishing bosses, deep crafting, and building big halls with friends. What 1.0 adds is the finished version of that loop, with the new content and polish Keen has been teasing since it announced the date in June.

Xbox has to wait until spring
Xbox Series X|S players won’t get it today. Keen says building and terraforming at this scale was harder to bring to two consoles at once than the team expected, so it chose to get the PS5 version right first. The Xbox version is now planned for spring 2027.
Where to buy
Enshrouded isn’t on GOG, so on PC it’s Steam at $39.99. On console, look for it on the PlayStation Store.
If you bounced off Enshrouded during early access, 1.0 is the right time to try it again. If you’ve been waiting for a console version, PS5 players can finally jump in.
