The Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Expansion Pass is out now on Nintendo Switch 2 for $34.99, and most of what you’re paying for arrives later. Wave 1 is live, Wave 2 lands this holiday, and the big story wave isn’t due until 2027.
Wave 1: four prototype weapons, out now
The first wave adds a prototype weapon for each of the four heroes, modeled after the Heroes’ Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. That’s a fun nod for anyone who spent a hundred hours at Garreg Mach, but it’s a lighter start than the waves that follow.

Wave 2: gods in battle and new outfits, Holiday 2026
The second wave lets you call on three gods, Aurora, Smyrnos, and Jurah, to fight alongside you, and adds new outfits to wear. Nintendo is only saying holiday 2026 for now.
Wave 3: new stories, 2027
This is the one most fans will buy the pass for. Wave 3 adds new stories featuring Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel, and Anatolia, plus new allies, new classes, and more. Nintendo hasn’t narrowed the window past 2027.

Price and where to buy
The Expansion Pass is $34.99 on the Nintendo eShop and covers all three waves as they release. If you haven’t picked up the game yet, there’s also a bundle with the game and the pass for $104.99, which is the $69.99 digital game plus the pass at no discount. Fortune’s Weave is a Switch 2 exclusive.
The base game already has plenty to keep you busy, so there’s no rush. If new story content is what you’re after, waiting until Wave 3 has a date costs you little more than a few early weapons.
