Those of us lucky enough to get a Wii U Deluxe console will also be offered the opportunity to join the Deluxe Digital Promotion. According to Nintendo for every $59.99 game you buy in the Nintendo eShop you will receive 599 points in the system, which can then be redeemed in the Wii U Nintendo eShop at a rate of $5 for every 500 points.
This might be unwelcome news to physical stores such as GameStop and Fry’s Electronics as it will lure more people away from buying physical copies of their games from local shops.
