The Indie World logo with a small lightbulb over the i, on a soft peach background

Nintendo has a new Indie World Showcase lined up for Wednesday, October 28 at 7am PT. The Nintendo of America premiere on YouTube promises roughly 15 minutes of new announcements and updates on indie games headed to Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Switch. Nintendo announced it on Tuesday, giving fans barely a day’s notice for a show that should be over in about a quarter of an hour.

Start times

Everything kicks off at the same moment worldwide:

  • Pacific: 7am PT, Wednesday, October 28
  • Mountain: 8am MT
  • Central: 9am CT
  • Eastern: 10am ET
  • UK: 2pm GMT
  • Central Europe: 3pm CET
  • Japan: 11pm JST, Wednesday
  • Australia (Sydney): 1am AEDT, Thursday, October 29

The UK is already back on GMT, while the US doesn’t change its clocks until November 1, which is why the gap between London and the East Coast is four hours this week instead of five.

Where to watch

The easiest option is Nintendo’s YouTube channel for your region. Nintendo of America and Nintendo UK both have the premiere set up now, so you can hit the reminder button ahead of time. Nintendo UK also keeps an Indie World hub on its site. The Nintendo Today app carried the announcement too, if you’d rather get a reminder on your phone.

If you’re watching from Japan, note that Nintendo’s Japanese channel lists its version at about 25 minutes, so the Japanese cut runs longer than the Western one.

What Indie World covers

Indie World is Nintendo’s showcase for smaller games from outside studios, so this is not the place for Mario or Zelda news. Nintendo’s own description sticks to indie announcements and updates for Switch 2 and Switch, and it hasn’t named any games ahead of time.

The last Indie World aired on March 3, and it rewarded anyone watching live: 2025 puzzle hit Blue Prince launched on Switch 2 the same day, as did Minishoot’ Adventures, while Denshattack! got its June release date.

Fifteen minutes is a small ask on a Wednesday morning. We’ll round up the biggest announcements once the show wraps.
