Resident Evil Switch 2 owners can download three remakes now: Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition. Capcom put the digital versions live on the Nintendo eShop for October 16 (they unlocked at 5pm PT on October 15), with physical copies following January 29, 2027.
What each edition includes
Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition is the over-the-shoulder remake with Leon and Claire in Raccoon City, plus a pile of existing DLC in the Deluxe package. On the US eShop it is $29.99 right now (regular $39.99).
Resident Evil 3 retells the outbreak from Jill Valentine’s side, with Nemesis in pursuit. Capcom notes that Resident Evil Resistance is not included. US eShop price is $19.79 (regular $29.99).
Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition sends agent Leon after the president’s daughter and folds in Separate Ways plus other existing DLC. US eShop price is $39.99 (regular $49.99).

All three are rated M. Capcom’s Switch 2 Resident Evil lineup page is the easiest place to compare them side by side.

Launch window notes
Digital is the story today. Physical editions of all three are dated January 29, 2027 on Capcom’s announcement. If you already planned a Switch 2 horror weekend, the eShop launch discount on each title is a good reason to grab them now rather than wait for the boxes. Capcom has not posted a US end date for the sale, so check the listing before you buy.
These are the remakes that rebuilt the Raccoon City era for modern hardware. On Switch 2, they finally sit next to each other in one handheld library.
