The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered is CD PROJEKT RED’s rebuilt edition of the 2015 RPG, out September 29, 2026 and free for existing owners.

It is on PC through GOG and Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Owners on GOG, Steam, Epic, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S get it as a free upgrade, and owners of the original Switch version can claim the Switch 2 edition at no cost. Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are included, and the work was done with Yigsoft.

The remaster adds transmog, cross-platform mods, an expanded photo mode, and reworked skills. Saves and achievements carry over, though skills reset on old saves. On PC, the classic 1.32 version stays launchable for anyone who wants it. A new expansion, Songs of the Past, is due in 2027.

Patches came fast after launch: two hotfixes within days, 5.01 in early October with console toggles for bloom, light shafts, and depth of field, then 5.01 on Switch 2. This hub collects our Witcher 3 Remastered news, newest first, with a link to the official patch notes.
