Kingdom Hearts Collection key art

Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] opens for real next week. The full street date is Thursday, October 8, 2026, on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through the Microsoft Store. Digital pre-orders on PS5 and Xbox Series get a 48-hour head start, so those builds unlock Tuesday, October 6. Switch 2 does not get that early window in Square Enix’s press note.

On Steam, Square Enix still points shoppers at KINGDOM HEARTS INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE as the current PC collection SKU. Treat that as the Steam shelf label while the console and Microsoft Store Collection name is KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III].

What is in the bundle

The Collection packs three current-gen native sets into one purchase:

  • KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-
  • KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue
  • KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC)

That is the long Sora, Donald, and Goofy run from the early HD remixes through the III finale and Re Mind, rebuilt for Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series, and PC rather than as cloud streams. The individual collections stay available on their own if you only need one block of the timeline.

Early access, platforms, and extras

PS5 and Xbox Series digital pre-orders unlock 48 hours early. That is why Xbox Wire’s “Next Week on Xbox” list shows October 6 for the Xbox SKU. The shared street date across platforms is still October 8. If you are on Switch 2, plan for Thursday, not Tuesday.

Square Enix also ties a platform keyblade to Collection (or KH III + Re Mind) purchases:

  • Nintendo Switch 2: Long Night
  • PlayStation 5: Midnight Blue
  • Xbox Series X|S: Phantom Green

Owners of older digital versions on Nintendo Switch (Cloud), PlayStation 4, or Xbox One are eligible for a 50% discount on the current-gen digital buy. Rules and region limits live on the official Collection page, including the note that Switch Cloud saves can move to Switch 2 while other platforms do not transfer saves across to the new builds.

Why it matters this week

If you have been waiting for a native Switch 2 / PS5 / Xbox Series shelf instead of the older cloud or last-gen discs, this is the week the Collection stops being a pre-order tile. Grab the PS5 or Xbox digital early access on the 6th if that is your platform, or wait for the Oct 8 open on Switch 2 and everywhere else. Either way, the story slate is the same three HD blocks, and the only real scheduling fork is that 48-hour console early window.

For the rest of a busy PlayStation and Nintendo week, PlayStation Plus October’s monthlies unlock the same day, Tuesday, October 6.
