PlayStation Store Black Friday deals start at 12:00am PT on Wednesday, November 4, three weeks before the actual Black Friday, with up to 75% off thousands of PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 games, expansions and DLC. The catch is timing. The PlayStation Blog says some discounts end on November 20 and get swapped for new ones, so the first wave isn’t the whole sale.
Midnight Pacific on November 4, Through November 30
The PlayStation Blog announcement went up early on November 3 and gives the sale nearly a full month. It opens at midnight on November 4 and closes at 11:59pm on Monday, November 30, which makes Cyber Monday the last day.
Those times are local to your region. The fine print lists 12:00am PST for the Americas, GMT for Europe and JST for Asia, so East Coast players can start shopping at 3:00am ET Wednesday, and UK players get it at midnight their time.
Don’t go looking for prices yet. The blog shows the game list but no numbers, and says discounts will only appear on PlayStation Store when the sale goes live. Percentages can also differ by region, so a deal someone posts from another country might not match yours.
The November 16 Refresh and the November 20 Cutoff
This sale runs in two waves, and the dates overlap in a way that’s easy to miss.
- November 16, 12:00am PT: the promotion refreshes.
- November 20, 11:59pm PT: certain discounts end before the sale does, and some of those deals get replaced with new offers.
- November 30, 11:59pm PT: everything that’s left ends.
The practical bit is the November 20 cutoff. If a game you want is in the first wave, it may not still be discounted on actual Black Friday, November 27. The PlayStation Blog says each game’s product page will show the details, so check the end date before you decide to wait. If a page says November 20, that’s your deadline. If it says November 30, you can hold out and see what the refresh brings.
Astro Bot, Saros, Wolverine and 11 Other Previewed Keepers
The blog previewed 16 games ahead of the sale. We left out the two sports games with heavy in-game spending and kept the ones you buy once and own. Several of these are deluxe editions, so compare the deluxe sale price against the standard edition when the store unlocks.

The first-party picks
- Astro Bot: Team Asobi’s platformer won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024, and it’s still the easiest PS5 recommendation for players of any age.
- Saros Digital Deluxe Edition: Housemarque’s arcade shooter just got its Zenith update with a boss rush and New Game+, so there’s more to come back to.
- Marvel’s Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition: Insomniac’s newest shows up in its Digital Deluxe Edition, the only Wolverine version on the blog’s full list.
Big 2026 releases
- 007 First Light Deluxe Edition: IO Interactive’s take on a young James Bond.
- Pragmata Deluxe Edition: Capcom’s sci-fi action game.
- The Blood of Dawnwalker Eclipse Edition: Rebel Wolves’ vampire action RPG.
- Silent Hill: Townfall: the newest Silent Hill, rated M and best for players who like slow-burn horror.
- The Sinking City 2: Frogwares’ follow-up to its Lovecraftian detective game.
- Mortal Shell II: the sequel to the tough action RPG.
- Beast of Reincarnation: Game Freak’s action RPG, far from Pokémon.
Lighter and longer picks
- Valheim: Iron Gate’s Viking survival game, best with a few friends.
- Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition: Ubisoft’s anniversary release for the limbless hero.
- Echoes of Aincrad: the Sword Art Online action RPG.
- Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred: Blizzard’s newest Diablo IV release, listed in its Standard Edition.
The full A-to-Z list on the blog runs to about 470 entries, and a few older keepers stand out: Balatro, God of War Ragnarök, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, Dave the Diver, LEGO Voyagers and Kena: Bridge of Spirits. PS VR2 owners can look for DOOM 3: VR Edition and Zombie Army VR.
Games and DLC Only, No PS5 or PS VR2 Hardware
The PlayStation Blog post covers games, expansions and DLC. It doesn’t mention any discounts on PS5 consoles, DualSense controllers or the PS VR2 headset, so plan on this being a software sale.
If you shopped Planet of the Deals in October, check what you paid before grabbing a repeat. Black Friday doesn’t always beat a good October price. Set your wishlist tonight, check the end dates at midnight, and buy anything marked November 20 before the first wave goes away.
