Nine games leave Game Pass on October 31, and a few of them are worth finishing or buying before they disappear. Xbox Wire’s latest Game Pass update puts Double Fine’s three LucasArts-era remasters, Deep Rock Galactic, Wartales and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on the way out, while Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, The Séance of Blake Manor and Mouthwashing head the list of new arrivals.
Xbox hasn’t said what time on October 31 the games go, so treat the night of October 30 as your last safe session.
Finish it or buy it?
The quickest way to decide is to ask how far you are from the credits.
Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle are the easy calls. They’re classic point-and-click adventures, and Full Throttle in particular is short enough to wrap up over a weekend, so if one has been sitting in your queue, this is the week to play it rather than buy it.
Deep Rock Galactic and Wartales are the opposite. Both are built for dozens of hours of play, a co-op mining shooter and an open-world mercenary RPG, so if you’re in the middle of a campaign or have a regular crew, buying is the only way to keep going after the 31st.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the one that makes buying painless right now. It’s $7.49 on Steam at the time of writing, down from $49.99, and Steam isn’t showing an end date for that price. On PC, Grim Fandango Remastered, Day of the Tentacle Remastered, Full Throttle Remastered and Wartales are also sold DRM-free on GOG, so that’s the copy to buy if you want one you can keep without a launcher. Day of the Tentacle Remastered was $2.25 on GOG on October 22, down from $14.99.
If you’d rather own your copy on console, the Xbox Store version is the same game you’ve been playing through the subscription. Xbox says members can save on these games before they leave, but it hasn’t listed the discounts, so check the price on each store page before you buy.

Everything here is on Xbox console and PC except Sandustry, which is PC only. Scramble Knights Online and Terrible Lizards both arrive on Game Pass the day they launch.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is the headliner. It’s the first part of Square Enix’s remake, set entirely in Midgar, and its combat blends real-time action with pause-and-plan commands. October 29 is packed in general. Mouthwashing, the bleak space-crew horror game that joined the list after its ID@Xbox Showcase appearance, lands that day alongside Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted and Terrible Lizards, a horror game where you outrun threats with parkour instead of fighting them. If you want something spooky that isn’t about running or shooting, The Séance of Blake Manor is a detective story about a missing woman at a haunted Irish hotel in 1897.

If something on the leaving list is half-finished, your Halloween weekend just planned itself. The new arrivals will still be there in November.
