Cyberpunk 2077 is CD PROJEKT RED’s open-world RPG set in Night City, and years after its December 2020 launch it is still getting big free updates.
It is on PC through GOG and Steam, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The Ultimate Edition bundles the base game with the Phantom Liberty expansion.
Update 2.5, the Edgerunners 2 Update, landed October 22, 2026 alongside the second season of the anime on Netflix. It adds dual wielding for pistols and revolvers, new cyberware styles from Glamdoc vendors, two new side quests, a new radio station, and an in-game mod.io browser on PC, Mac, PS5, and Xbox. It is free for every owner of the base game, Phantom Liberty not required, and existing saves keep working. Saves with mods turned on do not earn trophies or achievements.
