Young Link holding the Ocarina of Time in Kokiri Forest with the game logo

Ocarina of Time Switch 2 just got a full overview trailer from Nintendo, and the November 5, 2026 remake is packing microphone song support, a Hall of Fallen Heroes, Zelda Notes, and amiibo rewards on top of the ground-up rebuild. The Nintendo news post and the official store page spell out what is new before launch. We covered the November 5 date reveal last month.

What the overview trailer highlights

This is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive remake of the N64 classic, built from the ground up with overhauled visuals, fully voiced cutscenes with expanded dialogue, and full symphonic orchestral music. Controls get a modern pass too, with jump, dash, and updated camera movement aimed at making it a clean entry point for new players. We broke those down in our look at the gameplay upgrades and the craft-style visuals.

The big interactive twist is the ocarina itself. Once Link has learned a melody, you can hum it or play it on a real instrument into the Switch 2 microphone, and his in-game ocarina will respond. Nintendo also added the Hall of Fallen Heroes, a gallery of statues for monsters you have defeated where you can read about them or jump into a rematch.

Zelda Notes, amiibo, price, and date

ZELDA NOTES ties in through the Nintendo Switch App on compatible phones. You can check daily accomplishments, hunt in-game locations from reference images, and play an ocarina on your device. Existing Legend of Zelda series amiibo unlock helpful in-game extras, and two new Ocarina of Time figures arrive in 2027 and unlock special in-game masks.
